Home-made Chips with Chicken Salt

Ingredients

    • 1kg Desiree Potatoes
    • 1 tsp Bi-carb Soda
    • 80g Olive Oil
    • Pavs Pantry Chicken Salt

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 220C fan forced.
  2. Half fill a medium sized saucepan with water and the bi-carb and bring to a boil.
  3. While waiting for the water to boil, peel the potatoes and cut them into thick chips.
  4. Once the water has boiled, blanch the potatoes for about 3 minutes then drain them from the water.
  5. Line an oven tray with baking paper and place the potatoes on the tray in a single layer and drizzle with the olive oil.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes on one side then turn them over and bake for a further 10 min or until golden brown.
  7. Once out of the oven transfer potato chips into a bowl, season and toss with Pavs Pantry Chicken Salt (more can be added to taste).
  8. Serve while hot.
